About Us!
Welcome to Mansion-Men.
We are Brett Cullum and R. Lee Ingalls, a married couple whose shared passions for storytelling, entertainment, history, and community have shaped both our personal and professional lives. We met in 2005 and were married in 2014, beginning a partnership built on curiosity, creativity, and a desire to tell stories that matter.
Together, we bring decades of experience in media, entertainment, writing, and public engagement. While our backgrounds are different, they complement one another in ways that allow us to explore a wide range of subjects and perspectives.
Brett’s career in broadcasting and entertainment spans decades. Beginning in Memphis, Tennessee, and continuing in Houston, Texas, he has established himself as a respected on-air personality and storyteller. Today, he serves as one of the Executive Producers of the LGBTQ+ radio program Queer Voices on KPFT 90.1 FM in Houston. Brett is also an accomplished writer whose work has appeared on numerous online platforms. He is currently a contributor to BroadwayWorld, where his thoughtful coverage of theater and entertainment has earned him a loyal following among readers and industry professionals alike.
Lee’s first career was as a dancer, performing before audiences whose expectations could be both enthusiastic and demanding. That experience taught him the value of connecting with people through stories, emotion, and authenticity. Later, he transitioned into writing, drawing inspiration from both his personal experiences and his family history. Lee is a member of the Ingalls family whose lives inspired the beloved Little House on the Prairie books and television adaptations. That connection to one of America’s most recognizable family stories naturally evolved into a passion for preserving history and sharing the stories of ordinary people living extraordinary lives. His books are available through major online retailers, and his articles can be found here as well as on America’s Fabric.
At Mansion-Men, our mission is simple: to tell stories that deserve to be told.
We are interested in the people, places, events, and experiences that shape our communities. Sometimes that means highlighting voices that are too often overlooked. Sometimes it means celebrating achievement, exploring culture, discussing entertainment, examining history, or simply sharing something that we find fascinating and worth discussing. We believe every community is built from countless individual stories, and those stories have the power to educate, inspire, and connect us.
Whether we’re covering entertainment, culture, travel, history, lifestyle, LGBTQ+ issues, community leaders, or hidden gems waiting to be discovered, our goal is to provide thoughtful, engaging content that reflects the diversity and richness of the world around us.
Most importantly, we want Mansion-Men to be a conversation, not just a publication.
If you have a story idea, know someone doing remarkable work, have an event we should know about, or simply want to connect, we would love to hear from you.
After all, the best stories often begin with a simple introduction.
